Privacy policy

This policy explains what information SlotSnob ("we", "us") collects when you use slotsnob.com, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email contact@slotsnob.com.
Who can use SlotSnob
SlotSnob is for adults 18 or older (or the legal gambling age where you live, if higher). We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
What we collect
Analytics (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages viewed, how you arrived, device and browser type, approximate location (country/city derived from your IP address by Google) and events such as clicks on casino links, demo plays and form submissions. Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that last up to two years. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set after you accept them in our consent banner; elsewhere you can decline at any time from the banner or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy; you can also use Google's opt-out add-on.
Discord sign-in. If you sign in with Discord to comment or join our rewards program, Discord shares your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar. We don't receive your email address or password.
Comments. The comments you post, shown publicly with your Discord name and avatar.
Contact form and game submissions. Your name, email address, company or studio, and whatever you write to us.
Rewards program. If you link a casino account, we store your casino username, your claim status and the referral statistics the casino operator reports to us as your referrer (for example the amount wagered or coins purchased under our referral code), plus your reward and giveaway history. We use this only to run the program.
Casino link clicks. When you click a casino link we record which link and which page it was on, so we know what's useful. We don't store your IP address with these clicks.
Free demos. Demo games store a random session ID in your browser so your virtual balance persists. No real money or personal details are involved.
Security. To prevent abuse we briefly keep IP addresses in rate-limit counters (minutes to hours) and in standard server logs.

How we use and share information
We use information to run and improve the site, show comments, answer messages, operate rewards and giveaways, and keep the service secure. We share it only with service providers that help us run SlotSnob (hosting on Amazon Web Services, Google Analytics, Discord for sign-in) or when required by law. We don't sell your personal information and we don't share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
When you click through to a casino, that operator's own terms and privacy policy apply. The referral code in the link lets the operator know you came from SlotSnob.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Consent for analytics cookies; legitimate interests for site security, click statistics and answering messages; and performance of our program terms for rewards and giveaways.
Retention
Comments and accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them. Contact messages and game submissions are kept for up to 2 years. Rewards records are kept for as long as the program runs plus any period required for tax or legal purposes. Analytics data is kept for 14 months.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your information, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Email contact@slotsnob.com and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
